Advocacy

Science for Democracy directs its advocacy mainly at the European Union and the United Nations.

At the European Union level, advocacy is done through outreach activities to Members of the European Parliament and members of the European Commission, some of whom are established partners and regularly take part in Science for Democracy’s events, and through general communication on the themes that fall unders MEPs’ individual responsibility.

Another avenue is the submission of petitions to the European Parliament through the official platform for their consideration, discussed by the Petitions Committee.

At the United Nations level, Science for Democracy’s advocacy is done through outreach activities to Member States and UN agencies and offices, participation in public consultations, interactive dialogs and side-events during official sessions of various bodies.
